How do I FTP to my "K" drive? The FTP server is now available for connecting to your "K drive" the new department Microsoft Server. Whenever possible we recommend moving files using FTP rather than mailing the files to yourself. This will reduce the load on our already overcrowded mail service. When in the office save your files to the "K drive" and then you will be able
to access those files from any internet connected computer using an FTP program
like FileZilla or any internet browser. The department provides FileZilla on all
computers in Derby and you can down load the program free at http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla.
To move files to and from the server open a Window Explorer box by following these instructions: To view this FTP site in Windows Explorer, click Page, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.
You should now be able to move files to the "K" drive using the Windows Explorer box.
